My 2005 Yukon Denali LX (purchase at Maita a few years ago) air conditioner went out a few days ago. When I took it in to have it checked, the air conditioner had started working again. The service manager (Moe)suggested it would be better if I brought it back when the problem recurred. I said what happen if it stops working, them I call for an appointment, but when I bring it in, it's working again? Moe said, Here is what I'll do -- when it happens again, bring it right over (no appointment needed) and we'll take a look. Sure enough, 4 days later, it stopped working and I was across the street from Maita. I drove in and asked for Moe and explained that I had very little time. I thought the cruise control had been disconnected during the service last week, when I found it didn't work on my trip up I 80. Nick initially thought I didn't know how to work the cruise control, but on Monday, he test drove it, and found out it really didn't work. FYI, We have 8 or so Chevrolet Colorados and one of them was missing at idle and produced a engine light. The number 5 cylender Has a problem. We sent it to Maita chevrolet to see if there was any warranty left with the factory. The vehicle had 76000 miles on the engine. So the warranty was up. Maita Chevrolet offerd to cover a percentage of the repair due to the low miles on the vehicle. The estamite was $4000 to $6000 for the repair. The replacement of the cylender head was necessary. This saved the City of Woodland a minumum of $2800 Dollars. The Invoice for the complete repair was $1200 .
